Add the CRAN2DEB Repository

Another software source can be added. This one is designed specifically for Debian rather than Ubuntu, but generally works well. It is an automated system for keeping the Debian pacakges updated from CRAN. Use the same process as above to add the following APT line:



deb http://debian.cran.r-project.org/cran2deb/debian-i386 testing/

Change the i386 to amd64 if you have installed the 64 bit version of Ubuntu.

The result will be that two new software sources have been added to the list, as in Figure A.5.
